Drop files, URLs, and text right into your workflow
The shelf is a lightweight staging area that lives below the switcher overlay. Drag things in while you're switching, drag them out when you need them. Each Space gets its own shelf, so your project assets stay where they belong.
How it works
Open the switcher and drag something in
While the Scopo overlay is open, drag a file from Finder, a URL from your browser, or selected text into the shelf area below the window list.
Items appear as chips
Each item gets a color-coded chip: amber for files, blue for URLs, sage green for text. You can see at a glance what’s staged.
Drag items out or click to open
Drag a chip to Finder, a browser, or any drop target. Or just click it. Files open in Finder, URLs open in your browser, text copies to clipboard.
Pin what matters
Right-click any item to pin it. Pinned items sort to the front and stick around until you remove them.
Tips & tricks
Per-space shelves
By default, each Space has its own shelf. Toggle to a single shared shelf in Settings → General if you prefer.
Cross-space drag
Start dragging a shelf item, then press arrow keys to switch to another Space. Drop the item into the new Space’s context.
Duplicates blocked
Scopo won’t add the same file, URL, or text twice. Drop it again and it just highlights the existing chip.
