Your Per-Space Staging Area

Drop files, URLs, and text right into your workflow

The shelf is a lightweight staging area that lives below the switcher overlay. Drag things in while you're switching, drag them out when you need them. Each Space gets its own shelf, so your project assets stay where they belong.

How it works

1

Open the switcher and drag something in

While the Scopo overlay is open, drag a file from Finder, a URL from your browser, or selected text into the shelf area below the window list.

2

Items appear as cards

Items on the shelf are displayed as cards with icons and names. You can see at a glance what’s staged.

3

Drag items out or click to open

Drag a card to Finder, a browser, or any drop target. Or just click it. Files open in Finder, URLs open in your browser, text copies to clipboard.

4

Pin what matters

Right-click any item to pin it. Pinned items sort to the front and stick around until you remove them.

Tips & tricks

Per-space shelves

By default, each Space has its own shelf. Toggle to a single shared shelf in Settings → General if you prefer.

Cross-space drag

Start dragging a shelf item, then press arrow keys to switch to another Space. Drop the item into the new Space’s context.

Your project bookmark bar

The shelf isn’t only a clipboard alternative. It’s your project bookmark bar, keeping the links, tools, and files you need for the current project one click away.
