Terms & Conditions

Effective date: February 17, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Scopo, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. License Grant

Scopo grants you a time-limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to use the software on any Macs you own. This license does not grant ownership of the software or any of its components.

3. License Duration & Renewal

Licenses are available in 1-year or 2-year terms. When your license expires, the app stops working. Licenses auto-renew via Paddle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Paddle customer portal.

4. Payment & Refunds

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle's terms govern payment processing, billing, and subscription management. If you're not satisfied, request a refund within 30 days of your most recent payment via the account page. Your license will be revoked immediately upon refund.

5. Privacy & Data

Scopo runs entirely on your device. There is no data collection, no analytics, no network calls home, no accounts, and no cloud sync. Window thumbnails and titles are kept in memory only and discarded when the app quits. The Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions are used solely for window management functionality.

6. Updates

Scopo checks for updates via Sparkle. Updates are optional and can be disabled in settings. All updates released during your license period are included at no extra cost.

7. Intellectual Property

Scopo and all associated intellectual property belong to the developer. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the software.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Scopo is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Compatibility with all macOS versions is not guaranteed.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software.

10. macOS Permissions

Scopo requires the Accessibility permission to manage windows. Screen Recording permission is optional and enables window thumbnail previews. These permissions are used solely for the app's window-management functionality and nothing else.

11. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. You can stop using Scopo at any time by uninstalling it from your Mac.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Scopo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be announced on this page.
